your words
just words
like a dagger
its sharp point
tearing the skin
splintering bones
its jagged edges
piercing my heart
as blood spills
deep pain overwhelms
and crushes my spirit
sadness invades my soul
and I feel its mournful tears
knowing a part of me has died
just words
your words

Very nice Bill, tweeted this hope you don’t mind.
Thanks, OM. I was having a hard time getting back on the horse. Tweet away! – bill
This is not meant to sound deep or sage, but in all seriousness the trick is not to try.
I will try not to try to try…oh no…now I’m really confused, but I won’t try to understand…

Very well written!
Thank you! This is my first attempt in a while.
It’s really impressive!
Like this, well written and put across well π
Thank you. I appreciate your comment.
I love its sacadated pace. Speaks volumes. Just words. Your words.
I had to look up “sacadated” and found it on a Romanian website. Thanks. I find this helps me express what I feel.
π I am sure there must be an English equivalent that expresses the same, but I haven’t found it yet.
Very nice. π
Thank you!

Your words are just words…
Thank you for the reblog!
As I lost myself in this poem, I could not help but notice that they text appeared in the form of an arrowhead – fitting for such a sharp commentary!
Thanks! I noticed the same thing after I was done working the words for this poem. The words not only felt right, they looked right.
Very Nice! I surely can relate!
Thanks for reading my work. Sometimes dark memories do come out, but my best work seems to come from deep most feelings – past and present.
Cool post – I always admire people who can write poetry…I suck at it! Thanks for visiting Sisterhood Sticky Notes β always awesome to get visitors from around the world. Good luck with your blogging project β keep going!
Thanks so much! Poetry doesn’t come that easy for me. I sometimes struggle to write exactly what I am trying to express. But I guess it’s the same in any kind of writing. I am trying to write more as my schedule allows. Thanks again and good luck with your work too.
